With heavy hearts...

Friends --
If you've landed at this post, then you probably have been taking a similar journey over the last couple of days as I have, attempting to take in the tragedy that has robbed many of their loved ones, and threatened to rob us of our joy. Our hearts and prayers go out to all affected by the devastation at Virginia Tech. Words seem so small at times like this, so light and weightless when all of the weight of our being lies in our hearts, but I know that He will meet us there. I pray that our Counselor will give us peace that surpasses understanding, and that our light will shine even brighter in dark times such as these.

"Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior." Habakkuk 3:17-18

To our friends and fellow BeachReachers that we served with from Virginia Tech. We are praying for you.

Tim

Tim, thanks for new insight into Habakkuk! God has some hidden truths in that book, and it has been amazing to be opened up to that!
